Carol Dunitz Starts Testimonial Campaign on Facebook

Carol Dunitz posted the first of many testimonials she has received on her personal and "Bernhardt On Broadway: The Musical" pages today. "You can have the most beautiful jewel in the world," she tells us, but if you keep it locked in your safety deposit box, no one will appreciate it." Dunitz has two performances at the Third - First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival this weekend. (Saturday evening, September 20th at 8 PM and Sunday evening, September 21st at 7 PM. - MuCCC Theater) "Bernhardt On Broadway" has been selected as one of the top twenty shows to see (from over 380) at the festival by the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.

Here is the first of many testimonials to be posted:

"Carol Dunitz’ interpretation of Sarah Bernhardt is remarkable. I was enchanted by her spirited performance and flawless accent. I could not take my eyes off Carol for the duration of the show.
"The script covers more than I could have expected while remaining natural and alive. I felt like I was actually spending time with Madame Sarah. When the two hour show was over, and it was over way too soon, I truly understood this great actress.
"The music was fantastic. I loved the songs. There was a lovely variety and they were placed perfectly, setting the scene and expanding on the story without overpowering it.
"My wife and I left the auditorium feeling like we has spent the evening with a close friend and confidant. Carol delivers a riveting performance not to be missed!"

Dunitz Given Personal Tour of George Eastman House

Carol Dunitz is in Rochester New York for performances this weekend at the Rochester Fringe Festival. In anticipation of her visit,  John W. Borek of the MuCCC Theater arranged a meeting with Caroline Yeager, the Assistant Curator of the Moving Image Department there, who took Dunitz on a tour. Yeager also treated Dunitz to a private screening of a clip of Madame Sarah Bernhardt in "Queen Elizabeth" (1912), which was a direct copy from an original reel.
